How This BAH Estimate Works
The current version looks up a fixed demonstration base amount for the selected pay grade. Choosing With Dependents applies a 1.2 multiplier.
The entered ZIP code is retained only as part of the interface; it is not mapped to a Military Housing Area or official rate table.
Formula
Demo estimate = Pay-grade base amount × dependency multiplier
Example
If a selected grade has a demonstration base of $1,500, choosing With Dependents applies $1,500 × 1.2 and displays $1,800. This is not an official BAH rate.
